The main objective of the SAINEX project is to Design and Develop an innovative Learning System, composed of interactive spaces and interfaces and experimental learning content, which promotes new forms of active, reflexive and creative learning.

  • Development of an Interactive Environment Interface System. This subsystem consists of the hardware, software and middleware elements, which will create interactive learning spaces in the classroom. In particular, research on this subsystem will be based on:
    • Research on solutions of multi-touch surfaces.
    • Development of interactive floors, walls and tables with RGBD motion sensors, cameras and projectors.
    • Development of Augmented Reality systems.
    • Study on user interaction and recognition of activity.
  • Development of a Teacher Support System, which will allow the teacher, with easy and intuitive tools, to manage learning activities, define classroom settings, analyze and present the results of student activities And interaction with existing learning virtual environments.
  • Development of a system of adaptation to existing virtual learning environments.
  • Development of a Pedagogical Framework. This highly complex module is based on the development of effective and attractive curricula as well as innovative teaching methods and content and activities to enhance the role of creativity, curiosity and student reasoning.
